Would really appreciate some help from someone who has succesfully installed leopard on an Aspire l3600. Apparently it is possible, looking at the 'Hardware Compatibility List" wiki. However I am unable to get anywhere with the install.

To date I have tried, Kalyway 10.5, Leo4All v3 10.5.2, iDeneb 10.5.5 and a copy of the original leopard installer. None of these methods work for me.

The furtherest I have got is past the scrolling text messages of the darwin bootloader to the grey apple logo screen. Where my drive spins down and nothing further happens.

Could someone suggest some settings for the l3600 which consists of:

ProcessorIntel® Core™2 Processor E7200 ( 2MB L2 cache, 2.53GHz, 1066MHz FSB )

ChipsetIntel® G31 Express Chipset with Intel® ICH7-DH

GraphicIntegrated Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 3100

AudioEmbedded High-Definition Audio with 5.1-channel audio support

Storage320GB Serial ATA 7200 rpm

Optical Media DriveSlot in Supermulti

Maybe I am not setting the correct bios settings, but I have turned off dual core and speedstep etc.

Any help would be most appreciated. Really keen on getting OSX on this little PC.

Gary, let me know if you are still interested. it can be done.

use either iAtkos or iPC, 10.5.5 or later

chamelon bootloader seems more stable

do a minimal installation, then add options later.

audio and ethernet works fine. the keyboard will have a few funny keys... so be it...

graphics is stuck to 1024 x 768; you can get 1280 x 1024 (look up GMA3100 in this site) but no widescreen settings.

Acer has built a mini-mac killer with this slick box, real shame about the graphics...
