intre_pid
I just bought the Netgear PCMIA WG511T card for my IBM T43 laptop coz I saw in the Wiki section that this card works natively in 10.4.3 without any patch. However, when I booted up, all I can see is that the top right hand part got the card icon that gives me the option to Power Off Card of the Atheros Communications INC, AR5001-0000-0000. No Airport card was detected. anyone has any idea why ? I'm using the 10.4.3 with Wesley's Patch 8f1111 thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/13765-netgear-wg511t-working-in-1043/ Share on other sites
intre_pid
ok, i managed to replace the IO80211 kext of the 10.4.3 with the one from 10.4.5 and the mac OS boots up showing the wireless icon on the top right hand side, showing that the Airport is not configured. However, I'm unable to configure it. Anyone has any idea why ?
