1233666666
Hey All, I just got a iBook and love OS X so much I wanted to try it on my AMD desktop. I err...got the...install DVD and installed fine, but I have no keyboard support. I can't go past 'Registration Informaton' as I have no way to type anything in I'm using an Asus A8N-E with a AMD 3500+ (at stock speeds) with 1gb Corsair Value. I look in the Wiki and it says it has no PS2 support (and no SATA support, but I noticed that and installed it on an IDE hdd) Has anyone got a PS2 keyboard working on it? EDIT: I tried doing this: http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?showtopic=12990#3 but I have no way to enter anything as the keyboard doesn't work Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/13753-os-x-1045-on-a8n-e/ Share on other sites

kris2000
i, I have exactly the same hardware. PS/2 keyboard isn't recognized too, I had to buy a usb device. Just a tip if you want to try : At the "registration information" panel, try to click on the next button, a window appears indicating that you have to fill in the blanks, select the text in that new window with your mouse, right click and "copy" ; paste into the several blank lines : firstname, lastname, adress, etc... For your phone number, right click on that blank line, and select "font", copy and paste the police number on it !!!!! Hope this helps, Cheers ! PS : Never touch your keypad, 'cause MacOs freeze, and you can't do anything, it is blocked. theSpam
OS X doesn't like PS/2 / USB mous/keyboard combinations. So either have a PS/2 mouse and PS/2 keyboard or an USB mouse and an USB keyboard. 1233666666
I went out and got a Apple USB keyboard. Nice to type on, and similar to my iBook's one. Yay, OS X!
