Power/Performance Problem

I have not long got 0sx on my IBM x41 Laptop, all runs nicely, have battery gauge on finderbar etc.

 

Now when the power lead is plugged in it is fast enough not to be a nusance.

 

When the power lead is not plugged in, it will take longer to boot and all applications take longer to load and sometimes it will freeze altogether waiting spinning.

 

Any ideas on this one, anybody.

 

Spec is IBM x41 Dual Boot OSX,XP

2 gb DDr ram

1.6 ghz M

 

Atkos V4, Mac Office 2004, Mobileme all working.
