it1294
Hi I have been trying to Install iDeneb v1.3 10.5.5 to my Windows Vista Computer. So after reading a few guides, I shrinked my current OS so that I would have Unallocated space on my Disk. So after doing that I booted up the OS X installation and went to disk utility and i couldn't find the Unallocated space that i wanted to put OS X on! The only partitions i saw was my OS (Windows Vista) and my DVD/CD drive. So if anyone knows what i can do so that i can put OS X onto the Unallocated space please tell me! dies
Have you tried making a partition ahead of time? Disk Utility can't see unallocated space, at least not on an mbr drive. Yeah, pretty lame, but then it was never really intended to do what you're trying to do with it. daviiiiiid
you take that unallocated space you created and create a new partition on it Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/136976-cant-see-partition-to-format-in-disk-utililty/#findComment-969660 Share on other sites
it1294
I know that, but if i try to do it makes me change the whole disk where all partitions are to dynamic and if i do that it will make vista un-bootable. Do you know any other way? dies
How do i create a partition on my DISK if there is no space available to create it. Thank you Hmm... let's think about this... You said you had to shrink the partition holding your OS, right? I'm going to assume you used some type of "partitioning" software to shrink it... Do you see where I'm going with this?
