WidowmakerPT
Hi people, This is my first post here after spending around a week trying to solve 2 problems I have with all the solutions you have here and still get nothing. I have an Acer Aspire 5634 and installed iDeneb v1.3 and everything is working except: - wireless (obviously intel pro) but bought a Linksys wusb54gc dongle but can get it to work with the drivers provided by the distro or the ones from ralink (crashes when adding profile or doesn't detect the dongle); - shutdown kext, installed but not functionning. I don't know what else to do. Can someone give some hints? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/136944-ideneb-13-1055/ Share on other sites
WidowmakerPT
Just a quick update. Made one last try at the drivers suplied by Prasys (http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=33896) and made everything step by step to figure what I was doing wrong. The drivers suplied with iDeneb Distro simply won't work. I talied the system.log and when I connected the dongle nothing happened so I opened the info.plist at RT73(...) folder and noticed there was no reference to Linksys dongle. Installed Prasys drivers and there it was the entry but still couldn't connect to my router. tailing I could see the dongle being recognised... changed my wireless security from wpa2 to wpa and here I am posting with my new OS :) Just have to say Thank You to everyone that spends his/hers time to helping and providing all the help we find here. And of course to the similarities between Linux and MacOS(unix) , which helped me to better understand to MacOS console P.S. - I have to admit that after trying MacOS for these few days it's a real excelent piece of software and no wonder that Micro$oft is trying to mimic it. Still prefer Linux (for it's "free licensing") for now Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/136944-ideneb-13-1055/#findComment-970423 Share on other sites
