FizFiz
Hi everebody! I have some problem connected with VPN (over PPTP) connection. I would like it to automaticaly connect during startup. I tried Advanced->VPN on Demand but I can't make it work (I tried both domain and IP - didn't work) I use google and found this: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=6640343 This a discussion on apple support forum about VPN on Demand and this feature doesnot work not only on my MAC. Maybe anybody knows how to automaticly connect VPN on stratup? Or there is any program? The second problem is I select checkbox " Show VPN in menubar" to fast connect it, but since update to 10.5.4, the meny item "connect" disaperes and now I cannot click connect it: it shows "VPN is not configured" screenshot below Thank all, I hope enybody can help me Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/136941-vpn-on-startup/ Share on other sites
Adrian Fogge
I personally use Shimo for my VPN manager as it lets me auto-connect to any of my necessary VPNs based on where I physically am on the planet and which network I connect to. This way, I can open my connection to my home automatically from work, work from home, work from cellular modem, etc. Additionally, it works for a wide variety of VPN types including Cisco, PPTP, OpenVPN and even standard SSH tunnels. I struggled with VPN-on-Demand as you are now for several weeks and was just fed up with it because I could never get it to reliably work. ~Adrian Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/136941-vpn-on-startup/#findComment-969653 Share on other sites
