I am trying to install Leopard on my HP TC4200 TabletPC (1.86Ghz Pentium M, 915GL Video, 2GB RAM). As I don't have a CD/DVD Drive, neither can I borrow one I am installing it from HDD via Leopard HD Install Helper.

Kalyway 10.5.2 Had some issues with a plist and panic'd, 10.5.1 refused to boot, and the most success is with Leo4All 10.5.2

It boots fine up to the point when the installer should start.

If I am on the external screen it turns blue and that's all. If I'm on the external (Samsung 226BW 22" 1680x1050 native) it complains about "Resolution not optimal." (equivalent to "Sygnal out of sync", "Resolution not supported" etc.). I hooked it to InFocus LP790 projector (1024x768 native) but it shows just nothing.

If I close/open the lid of the laptop a deformed image appears. It seems to be some weird resolution, with only the upper half of the image visible, and interlaced.

Providing "Graphics Mode=1024x768" (or =800x600; =1024x768@60, etc) makes no difference.

[Enter] doesn't work, and I can't see Next/Continue/Proceed button, so I can't proceed with the install.

Hmm, doesn't make any difference either.

But I found something else.

If I boot, while attached to the 22" monitor, but with lid open (so verbose info appears on the laptop) it again gets to the point where the internal screen is blue and the exterlnal with not supported resolution BUT if at this moment I disconnect the external monitor, and connect the laptop to the projector the dialogs appear! On the other hand the cursor is distorted (it's like a cloud of dots ?!) and there is no menu bar at top. It,s not that it's invisible, it just is not there. So I can continue, but without Disk Utility I can't create the needed partition.

BUT if I close/open the laptop lid the projector goes blank and another distorted image appears on the internal screen. It kind of wraps around the screen edge. The entire image is shifted like 1/4th to the rigth, and the are that goes out of the right edge comes from the left one, interlaced.

AND there is a menu bar. BUT there is no mouse cursor (not even dots). The mouse itself is there, as I can click the menu entries at the top, but I can't see the pointer.

After 10-15 minutes blind shooting and orientating by the highlight in the menus I managed to select the target partition, but had no luck hitting the erase button. Finally I gave up.
