Landelusen
Hi! I have installet iDeneb 10.5.4 on my new gigabyte DS4 mobo with a Q9550 and everything was really smooth. The only problem I am facing is that the computer only recognizes one core and I don't know what to do. Should I start messing with the ACPI-kexts or what? Help please! sthEn
Ok - no problems at all with Q9550. Got kernel panic at first run, but resetting bios got it 'repaired' I guess it was because of old E8400 x9 bus, and here is 8,5. sstickygreen
I have a Q9550 running on a installation on iATKOS 5i. 10.5.5 All 4 cores work fine even overclocked to 3.7. With a EP45-DS3R Gigabyte board BIOS F10. Install was very fast only about 20 min, and I have a 9800GTX+ running the nvidia drivers from the new macbooks. So Yes it will all work Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/136662-q9550-problems/#findComment-1019933 Share on other sites
Dr Strangenotez
I have a Q9550 running on a installation on iATKOS 5i. 10.5.5 All 4 cores work fine even overclocked to 3.7. So Yes it will all work what settings did you use for kernel and such during install? haven't been able to find too much info on folks running the q9550, nevermind that chip and my mobo which is an XFX Geforce 9300. it's really a great board, with 3 video outputs and 4 Ram Slots supporting up to 16gb whenever some 4 gig chips come out. would appreciate any insight on your method on install Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/136662-q9550-problems/#findComment-1187236 Share on other sites
