Shinchy Posted November 15, 2008 Share Posted November 15, 2008 Hey, I managed to install Kalyways 10.5.2 DVD for AMD/Intel fine and everything ran smoothly. But when I went to restart the system it just hangs on the Apple screen with the Loader. When I check it with -v it stops on the message, Uknown SIGSEGV code 0. My specs are:- AMD 64bit 3000 Radeon 9800 XT Asus K8V-X Motherboard WD 500gb SATA Hard Drive 2gb Ram I've read that it could be down to the AMD processor and that there is an apparant patch you are supposed to run (apparantly). My main problem is that I have no idea how to get a patch to run. Are you supposed to burn it onto a new DVD? or do you run the install with a comand line at the begining to make it use that patch!?? Works alright now. i am trying to do the same thing...but i am not exactly sure how to add the 1st AMD patch from the customize menu. can you explain how you did that?
