Nabeel Molham Posted November 15, 2008 Share Posted November 15, 2008 Hi All, I am new in mac world and heard alot about it and I and a user of windows and linux and I am working as web Developer and also do a lot of film editing and I heard that mac is the best for film editing so I hope you can help me My PC is Processor 3 / 2 cache , 2 GB DDR2 RAM 667 , ATI X1550 256 MB Video Card, Asus P5GC-MX/1333 MotherBoard , 320 GB HDD SATA and DVDWR +- 20x . so what is the best version of mac can I install and running without any problems and the reason for that I will install Adobe CS3 and CS4 package cause all my work on that. abhi262 Posted November 15, 2008 Share Posted November 15, 2008 What processor do you have? I couldn't quite work out from your post. In terms of specs, your comp will run it fine, but if u just want to run cs3/4, why not use the windows versions? If you want to continue with installing OS X, i would strongly reccomend trying a version of Tiger first, as as it has been out for a good while, the releases are very polished and complete. WIth this u can then learn a bit about the whole process and then, if u want move on to Leopard which may or may not be more problematic. UnaClocker Posted November 15, 2008 Share Posted November 15, 2008 Yes, it'll run Leopard just fine. Do not bother with Tiger, installing that first is rediculous. Download the iDeneb v1.3 distro, it will work great with that hardware. You may need a patched bios to get more than one CPU core to work.
