Hi

I am running osx86 10.4.3 and would like to upgrade to 10.4.4, i am having trouble working out how to do it, and would really like to avoid having to download another 4.5gb dvd and reinstalling everything, there must be a way to update as everyone updated to 10.4.4 ages ago or so it seems when i do some google searches.

everything i am finding is to do with updating from 10.4.4 to 10.4.5.

if anyone could please provide some help in the regard.

Cheers,

Bill

Any version before 10.4.4 are Apple Developer versions.

10.4.4 is the offcial one that shipped with the new intel macs. 10.4.5 is the followed update..

Your best bet is to download at least 10.4.4, this way any future update such as 10.4.5 , 10.4.6 and so on

will ve upgradable with relatively small downloads.. (10.4.5 update from 10.4.4 is around 100MBs or so..)

Hope this helps

thank you! yes it does help and explains why i was having so much trouble. i'm grabbing the 10.4.5 universal iso thing. and will give that a try.

but for the record, i'm only doing all of this so i am able to learn and use osx, so when i get my mac mini! i will be all sorted and used to how everything goes. or on the other hand i may grow to hate osx and not get the mac mini. but that's the idea.

thanks again!
