What would i run?

Hi,

 

i have an 2year old notebook, that i would like to blew some new life into!

 

Would it run Mac OSx86? Tiger/Leopard don't matther. Any suggestions

on what version i should use?

 

System info:

HP Pavilion dv5288ea

-Processor:

  • Genuine Intel® CPU T2400 @ 1.83GHz
    Instruction sets MMX, SSE, SSE2, SSE3

-Chipset & Memory:

  • Northbridge Intel i945PM rev. 03
    Southbridge Intel 82801GHM (ICH7-M/U) rev. A1
    Memory Type DDR2
    Memory Size 4096 MBytes

-System

  • System Manufacturer Hewlett-Packard

If it would run, what will be supported? Sound drivers? WiFi driver? ....?

It depends on the Audio chipset/ wifi chipset. Intel wifi is not supported, only some Broadcom + Atheros chipsets. But it can be replaced. There is a good chance your Audio will work, but probably just output, not input.

 

Try iAtkos, or Leo4All, or Jas, or iDeneb. (or or or or...)

well my wifi chipset is an Intel 3945 or something with those numbers :-)

audio chipset is from Conexant Audio HD but i have also an Audigy 2 ZS Notebook card that i could use.
