I have searched and spent numerous days through these forums and google'd for what may be then end of me if I don't figure this out!!! Also let me say thanks to everyone here for all of your advice and help.... This is an amazing community that I hope to see grow even bigger!!! I have a shuttle xpc 865 chipset, P4 3.0, 2 GB RAM, onboard audio, and a AGP Radeon 9800 Pro with a device id of 0x4e48. So here's my dilemma... With JaS 10.4.8, I have CI/QE working and everything is perfect. Sound, ethernet, video, the whole 9. Recently I decided to upgrade to Leopard and freshly installed iATKOS v4.1i 10.5.4 first and lost CI/QE. So i figured maybe it's just something with the iATKOS disc as when I was previously using uphuck on this same computer i could never get CI/QE. So I freshly reinstalled JaS 10.5.4 and I still don't have CI/QE. I figured "ok, maybe the kexts are slightly different" and copied the kexts from my JaS 10.4.8 install (all the ATI kexts, I had a backup of those extensions) to the new install of JaS 10.5.4. Still no CI/QE! I verified the device id of 0x4e48 was in the proper kexts as necessary, hexedited where necessary, and still nada. Video works, I just can't understand why I would have it under 10.4 and not 10.5 with the same video kexts?!? So I gave up temporarily, installed 10.4 back on and installed 10.5 to an external drive for testing this out further. Needless to say, my 10.4 is back up and running perfectly!!! I hope someone has a solution for this before i go crazy trying to figure it out. Thanks!
