josch1337
hi! i recently installed iATKOS on my dell d830, core2duo, X3100gfx it boots fine and i can see the gray boot screen (or the boot messages when using -v) but just at the screen that is supposed to come after that the screen turns black and nothing happens anymore. how can i find out what's wrong? i first tried to install with only selecting EFI boot and stock kernel and this let me to a freeze of the gray boot screen at the end. then i added the X3100 driver and now this happened. is there any way to find out what's wrong? are there additional things to try? maybe there are virtual consoles that i can use to find out what's wrong? i'm completely new to macos but i'm a decade long linux user so i know nothing about how to do mac specific stuff - sry for that! josch1337
is the thing that wont start the xserver? (is it called like this in mac?) the problem is difficult to describe for someone that doesnt know the terminology. i tried to browse/search the forum for someone having a similar issue but didnt find any. this could be because i dont know how to describe my problem properly. if this is a common problem plz tell me what i can enter as a search term - this would suffice!
