james341 Posted November 14, 2008 Share Posted November 14, 2008 i installed the ideneb 10.5.5 everything is working fine but the cd rom drive is not recognizes i'm sure it;s working because i installed from it and i the iatkos i had before the ideneb everything worked fine the disk spin but i don't see nothing in disk utility or in my desk top someone maybe have solution too this problem? Khiron Posted November 22, 2008 Share Posted November 22, 2008 funny, I'm also having this problem. I was thinking I might have done something wrong. My wild guess is that the kext for the cdrom is not being loaded or something? although I kinda doubt there's such thing, but even so, the cdrom won't show in /dev. I'd also appreciate the help if anyone has any clue on this. MAChiavelo Posted December 2, 2008 Share Posted December 2, 2008 Hi, I fixed this problem (under iDeneb/Leopard) following this (great) advice: InsanelyMac Forum / OSx86 Project / Hardware and Drivers / SATA/IDE Controllers / AppleIntelPIIXATA kext fully working for all ICHx Mobo (All Sata Channels working), Fully working kext (Leopard & Tiger version 1.1).
