crimsondynamo329
Hello, I am new to the forums and the OSx86 Project, and I would like some help. I am trying to install Leopard on my HP Pavilion a6110n, preferably 10.5.5, but any version would be better than none. I feel like I have a somewhat legitimate reason because as a lifetime Windows user, I want to try Leopard before I decide to buy a MacBook. I have tried iATKOS v1.0i, both patched for AMD processors and not, neither worked. I also tried iDeneb v1.3, both patched for nVidia cards and not, neither worked. I have attached the CPUz report of my computer and will give some other info, but I can give more detailed information from SIW if it would help. Everything I have read points to my nVidia graphics card or AMD processor as the problem, but I am lost on how to fix it. Any help is very appreciated! Some notes: I have two internal SATA HDDs installed, one of which I formatted in preparation for installing Leopard on it, and the other I have been running Vista from for about 1 year. Another USB drive is installed, but it has been disconnected during each attempt. I am booting from a DVD drive (also SATA). I have tried disconnecting either HDD (or both) and making sure the DVD drive is in SATA port 1, but I still get the "Still waiting for root device." Some other errors I noticed in verbose mode: AppleNForceATA: warning: phy connection failed. status=0x00000000 (it says this a couple times) AppleNForceATA: found 0 units (it says this several times) ERROR: FireWire unable to determine security-mode; defaulting to full-secure (my PC has no FireWire ports) cpuz.htm Edit: Here is the System Information for Windows (SIW) report file. I don't know if there is relevant information in it, but Here it is: SIW_20081113_202949_AB_PC.html Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/136307-leopard-1055-on-hp-pavilion-a6110n/ Share on other sites
