CyrisPC
I have a compaq persario sr1103wm. I replaced the processor with a 1.6ghz P4 with HT. I downloaded a mac osx86 10.4.1 install dvd by viper and by some miracle (or so I thought) it booted up the DVD and installed. usually Mac OSx86 install DVD's dont boot on my PC because of bad acpi support of my motherboard. it gives me some kind of kernel panic and that it cant find the drivers for the acpi. Viper did some kind of hack to where it bypasses this. now on the install DVD by Viper it does some kinda kernel trap when it comes to the acpi detection. So I was wondering if there is something I can do to a 10.4.6 or 10.4.8 DVD to make it bypass acpi detection.
