Fitoussi
hi, I have dell dimension e510: intel pentium D 2.80ghz dual core x64 3Gb of ram onboard sigmatel sound card. 500gb maxtor master sata hard drive radeon HD2600XT 512 PCI express I started imstalling the ideneb 10.5.5 by creating two partitions when the first one is fat32 for windows installtion later and the second partition is for leopard. I set it as GUID in the options. I took this idea from a tutorial of how to install 10.5.1 kalyway on dimension E510. when choosing the drivers I chooses the one for my graphic card which listed. and for the chipset I choose the ICH for intel. (hope I spelled it right). installation went smooth. however, when booting, after the gray screen with apple logo I get light blue screen only with the mouse which I can move around. it has been 3 days and nights that I'm trying the differen versions of leopard and this one was the closest. any thoughts please? Bluprint101
light blue screen has something to do with VGA and its drivers, 1. i suggest you install without choosing a Video driver, 2. post install look for the best driver that you know will work with your machine 4. or this problem could also be solved by doing the VGA dongle trick with a paperclip (look it up) 3. first try hooking it to another monitor to get extended screen and see if that screen will show something 5. then after you tried everything go chk out the compatibility list on the old OSX wiki project and see how people with your machine did their hack, which DVD's they used and what post installation tricks they applied hope i was helpful anyone have any idea why it will work in safe mode but not in regular mode? maybe a driver? in safe mode most drivers are not loaded up. thus the VGA working and sound not, because the VGA driver is disabled and maybe the sound too Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/136239-ideneb-1055-show-blue-screen/#findComment-965266 Share on other sites
