I have read through all posts related to my audio and I still cannot get this thing to make a beep I have video, ethernet, usb, etc... all working - but no sound, grrrrrrr. I think I need a kext file that has support for the ad1981 chipset. I have downloaded kext files releated to this on this website but so far they have messed up the installation and I have had to reload. The vendor id is: 11D4 The device is is: 1981 Does anybody have any suggestions as to what I could try to get this working on my Toshiba Satellite U205-S5057 laptop? I am using the ideneb 10.5.5 software. Thanks in advance for your assistance!!!
