dav2287
I had iAtkos 10.5.4 installed and working (decently) but decided to give the iDeneb v1.3 (10.5.5) a try. When I got it booted up, I noticed that my lan was no longer working. It kept telling me that a cable was disconnected even though a working cable was plugged in. (i tested the same cable in my laptop and it worked fine). mobo: p5n-e sli cpu: intel core 2 duo 1.6ghz video: ati x1800xt now when i go into my mobo bios and select the option to make sure that a lan cable is connected, it says that there is no cable connected after rebooting and when the mobo info is displayed. is it possible that an incorrect kext could have killed my mobo lan? dies
Anything is possible... I assume completely cutting power to the machine ( yes, that means shutting it down and actually unplugging it from the wall for a little while ) didn't help ? manofmany
My onboard LAN card was killed during a storm. Apparently it went straight through my router and hit my card and killed that single port on my router. I was amazed.
