tomnic
How can you see those messages if the screen goes black? I've got the same notebook... Did you make your Ati Mobility Radeon 9600 work? If you delete the AtiRadeon9700.kext from the System/Library/Extensions folder you can boot in normal mode... ...mac os x erratically thinks you have 2 displays so starts a mirroring causing graphical glitches, this is caused, probably, by the fact that in system profiler our vga is detected as a 128 mb, doubling the framebuffer dimentions... if you turn off mirroring the pointer leaves awful trails under itself if you move it. You should try JaS Ati.kext driver, I'll try it as soon as possible... ...probably we have to load the AGP kext to make this card work. Please, help us!!! Audio and Network don't work because they are SiS based, and SiS doesn't work with mac os x. Wlan works beautifully instead... if only we could run the vga... please, help us!!!
