i have an HP NX7400 notebook with the T5450 Core 2 Duo chip and an Intel graphics card. I managed to get everything to work on the laptop minus battery status image not appearing and the headphone jack not working. I currently have OS 10.5.2 installed on it and for the longest time have been booting up my laptop with the kalyway 10.5.1 DVD in my laptop. If i don't have the disc in i get a b0 error message upon booting. Can anyone help me fix this so that i can boot straight into OS X without the DVD?

Just a shot in the dark but, when I was faced with this problem it turned out that the boot record was missing. I managed to fix that problem by reformatting the hard drive entirely and in the format options I made sure I had master boot record checked off so the master boot log is stored on the partition. Other possible cause could be that partition isn't selected in the bios to be the boot partition. Google helped me figure it all out.

Easiest way is download and use OSX86 tools to FDISk and reinstall boot loader.

I don't have a bootloader nor do i have the OSx86 tools. Where can i get these tools from cause i tried like 3-4 different boot loaders and couldn't get anywhere
