Am i missing something here

My setup:

Gigabyte K8NXP-9 Nforce4

2GB DDR 400

Samsung DVD burner

80 GB IDE Hitachi deskstar

GeForce 8500 nvidia card

 

Everything goes just fine until about 1/4 of the way through the install and then it stops and says "cannot copy files to volume/leatherwolf" kinda message. I ive disabled the sata ports, and anyting else i can think of to get it t boot and go all the way through the install. I think if i can get it to completely install i can fix whatever he hell it is thats freaking out on me. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

 

Or, can someone please tell me which version i should get for my machine?
