I have a toshiba m35-s456 notebook. my hard drive is blank, and im trying to install mac os X 10.4.3/4/5. i have 3 different dvds, and they all give me the same result.

MacOSx 10.4.3 8F1111A Patched Jas v4.2b

MaC.OsX.10.4.5.Universal.Install.DVD(INTEL_AMD_SSE3_SSE2)

MacOSX_10.4.4DVDPATCHED_Myz

i previously had 10.4.1 installed and working properly. when i boot with -v i get "still waiting for root device", but when i attempt to install with a usb dvd reader and i specify the root disk (rd=diskXsY), it finds the bsd partition but gives the bvv... error which hasnt been overcome from what i have read on this forum. i have also tried re-burning with better media, dvd+ and dvd- and nothing seems to help.

i cannot install using vmware because pae on pentium m processors is supposedly broken (from what i have read) and i have tried many different solutions to make that work and havent yet.

so basically, i need to figure out why i cannot get my laptop dvd drive to read the install dvd's properly. which partition on each of these dvd's should the root partition be? diskXs3? im running out of ideas fast, so if anyone can help that would great. thanks in advance!
