I have a custom build pc:

Motherboard: nForce 680 SLI

Videocard: Nvidia Geforce 8800 GT

Sound: Realtek HD Audio

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E6850

RAM: 2GB

Im a new to all of this and tried installing kalyway, I can't get passed "formatting" my HD. Any suggestions on how to properly do this, I would EXTREMELY appreciate it considering iv been trying to do this for SEVERAL months on and off loosing hope of running Mac.

Btw I have a SATA HD I believe by "Western Digital"

I have a retail copy of Mac OS X Tiger original DVD. Is there a way to use that disc to do a clean legit install, maybe with a little tweaking?

You have an nForce MOBO so cannot install a vanilla system i.e. use a non-modified retail DVD to install.......see my Pre-Series 7 nForce chipset topic and my blog install guides...... :)

So what if I have an original DVD of OS X Tiger? Is there a way to install it because my only problem is that I can't get a hold of iAtkos DVD, and ofcourse I know its illegal to post sources of download.

Buy yourself a copy of Leopard OS X, in which case you will still be supporting Apple and OS X development.......and hopefully at some point buy a real Mac.......in the meantime...... ;)

I can definately purchase the OS X Leopard, the question is when I purchase it what adjustements have to be made because as far as im aware I cant just boot up the original disc and install it.

True.....I have PMd you....... ;) You can only install OS X on your MOBO using a OSx86 Install DVD.........
