JBLanteigne
Hi, I'm having some problems with my main partition and I need help fixing it. When I boot the partition on which I intalled os x with an image of a retail dvd, I get to the light blue screen but I can never get through it. I think it could be a video card problem. Here is how I got this stuff to happen on my partition: First I had two partitions, a Kalyway partition and a retail dvd install partition, I used the kalyway partition to install the retail dvd, the combo update and the .kext for my video card on the 2nd partition. This was perfectly working, until I installed Chameleon on my retail install partition. I couldn't access my 2 partitions at all... Then I used my kalyway dvd to boot in my main partition, it worked but something changed, I couldn't use a resolution higher than 1024 x 768 and I had no sound and some other stuff were lost. I then reinstalled Kalyway on the kalyway partition to be able to boot into my 2 partitions without the need of the kalyway dvd. The kalyway partition is fully working however the retail install is not, like I said at the begining, I can't get past the light blue screen (that comes right after the white + gray apple logo screen) Now of course I could do a back up of my files and reinstall the retail install.. however I'm wondering if there are easier ways of fixing my problem, I do not feel like reinstalling all my softwares and stuff. Thanks a lot for your support. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/135573-buggy-partition-need-help/ Share on other sites
