Hey

I have an attansic L1 Gigabit Ethernet Controller in my computer (incorporated in my ASUS P5K). I have downloaded the right driver (the one linked in the wiki, i.e. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?act...st&id=25427).

When I unzip the file, I have several files ending in *.cpp, *.sh, etc.

I just don't know what I have to do with such files in order to install the driver. I have tried to copy paste some of them to a terminal, that doesn't work..

On the Apple wiki they say to use a .dmg file to install printer driver, but I can't find any in the driver I downloaded.

Any help?

Thank you very much!

P.S.: I do have searched a lot of time on how to install a driver on OS X (more precisely Kalyway 10.5.2), but I didn't find anything. I also have a sound driver to install (also found it, "Audio: Using onboard with ALC883 installer ")..

It's me again..

I still can't install any of the drivers. I have tried Rammjet's How To in order to get the sound working, but to no avail..

Here is my hardware, anyone can help?

Mobo: Asus P5K

-- on it, Realtek ALC883 @ Intel 82801IB ICH9 - High Definition Audio Controller

-- on it, Attansic L1 Gigabit Ethernet 10/100/1000Base-T-Controller

Proc: Intel E6750

RAM: 2 Go Corsair

etc etc

Those values come from Everest, so they must be good..

Thank you in advance : )

Well

I finally managed to install the sound, thanks to Taruga's patcher and some linux codec dump found on the forum

Thanks a lot for the help this community gave me

I have realized my USB ports don't work (keyboards and mouse work just fine, my USB stick not.. :/), nor is my DVD Player (IDE dvd player/recorder (Pioneer DVR-112D)) so I'm not done yet struggling :2cents:

Update: my dvd drive is working!

I still can't connect anything in the usb ports

(the device manager (let's call it this way) tells me that my LaCie external HDD is connected (see screenshot attached), but I don't find it anywhere in "Compurter" :/)

Well, interesting fact: I plugged the external HDD and rebooted, it was recognized (appeared on my desktop) but I couldn't browse in it.. (the mouse cursor was a circle turning on itself with beautiful colors.. endlessly)

Any help is welcome!

Thanks in advance :)
