Discostu2120
OK, I know there have been a ton of threads on these, but I've spent a few hours working on this and still can't get it working right. So I just picked up an x1600 pro. Of course out of the box its not QE/CI supported. My device ID is 0x71c2 . Here's what I did: deleted system/library/extensions.kextcache and extensions.mkext . Then edited system/library/extensions/atiradeonx1000.kext to include my appended id: 0x71c21002 . So now the edited string looks like. <string> 0x71c21002 0x71091002 0x71C51002 0x71C0100</string> . I restart and I still get display device family matching failed and no qe/ci. Could it be because this X1600 pro only has 128mb vram? Any other ideas? 10.4.5 w/amd patch etc. AMD Athlon 64 3000+ MSI K8n Neo4 Platinum 2gb pc3200 ddr Xpertvision X1600 pro 128mb lotsa hd's Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/13536-x1600-pro-problems/ Share on other sites
