Problems with Asus P4P800 & MaC.OsX.10.4.5.Universal.Install.DVD(INTEL_AMD_SSE3_SSE2)

Hello Guys,

One week ago I heard of the the possibility to install Mac OSX on an PC and found this Forum.

I've read a lot here, but I still have a problem. So, I'll tell you:

For the MacOSx86 project, I'm using the following PC:

- Asus P4P800 Deluxe (Socket 478)

- P4 2,2 GHz

- ATI Radeon 9200

- 40 GB IBM HDD (PATA)

- normal DVD-Drive

- 512 MB DDR-Ram

I downloaded the iso-file MaC.OsX.10.4.5.Universal.Install.DVD(INTEL_AMD_SSE3_SSE2).iso

and started installing the MacOSX. First, I erased the HDD with "Mac OS Extened (journaled)"

and then the installationprocess started. After the successful installation, the PC was rebooted

by the Mac-Installer. This was nearly the last thing that happend, now the PC hangs

during the boot-process. By pressing the F8-Key and typing "-v" I could read the well known

root device-message:

Waiting for boot volume with UUID B8A...............

Waiting on <dict ID="0"><key>IOProviderClass</key><string ID="1">IOResources</string><key>IOResourceMatch</key>

<string ID="2">boot-uuid-media</string></dict>

still waiting for root device

etc...

I've read a lot here in the forum and tried a lot before wrinting this text:

1. started with "-x -v platform=X86PC"

2. also tried "debug=0x144 -v"

3. also tried "rd=disk0s1" or "rd=disk0s2"

4. looked for the HDD and DVD-Drive jumpers (now both are connected to the primary IDE-Channel

HDD: primary master and DVD-Drive: primary slave. Used 40pin and 80pin cables)

5. Disabled Sound / Firewire / SATA in Bios

6. Updated P4P800 Deluxe Bios to the newest available version

7. I started the Installation, formated the HDD, restarted the PC and installed OSX

These are the solutions for this problem for other users, but in my case

all that wasn't successful, I don't know what I could do more...please help.
