C-Diddy
There is a "bug" that says bit 2 on register 42 is not clearing. This, i believe, leads to an eventual kernel panic about a type 0 = divide error, followed eventually by information about the ACPI platform adn its dependancies. Could any of that information be the cause of my Celeron 2.4 Ghz (with SSE 2, SSE, and a bunch of other stuff the install detects) halts before the GUI even loads during install process? (I've tried -v, -v -x, -v -x platform=x86PC/ACPI -f, etc etc - all halt with same problem). Also, i can install fine and boot in VMware, but I cannot boot the partition I make in VMware because i get a halt (four language reboot page).
