fedorinux Posted March 30, 2006 Share Posted March 30, 2006 Hi everybody !! I tried 2 days ago to install OS X 10.4.5 x86. No problem, after installation, it boots correctly. But, at this first run of OS X, I installed some updates. And since this time, OS X doesn't boot. It stop with something like this : "localhost mDNSResponder-108 (date, time): starting". And when I saw this line, the hard disk stop working. For info : I set the internet connection by firewire. Processor : Athlon64 3700+ Nforce4 Ultra (K8NF9-Ultra) HD IDE Maxtor 120Go Geforce 6800GS 1Go DDR Can anyone help me ? Ai Haibara Posted March 30, 2006 Share Posted March 30, 2006 What updates did you install? If these are Security Updates, you need to apply Maxxuss' patch for Security Update 001-2006. However, did you try to boot in -s or -x? Maybe it works in safe mode or you can use Darwin's shell for restore MacOS...
