travisbickle
Is a Boot-132 installation from a retail DVD much more cumbersome than iDeneb? I will be installing onto either a D945GCLF2 (Atom Dual Core) or a Asus EEE Box B202. I would prefer to be able to download updates from Apple (after installation) without it wrecking my system. Does that mean I need to go for Boot-132? What are the pros and cons of both installation methods (on an Intel chipset Atom motherboard)? MacNutty
I prefer iDeneb because you can choose and install drivers as per your hardware specs and also you would be able to install updates from Apple as I do. Memorial
Go with boot-132. It's best to have almost a retail version and know what has been modified than letting someone else make modifications you don't know about or do not need. elgreco
I would also like to know how to install os x on the eee box using boot 132. I have tried with two different boot132 cd:s, but they get stuck on the grey apple logo just after the retail leo dvd starts reading. I have however managed to install os x with the boot 132 method on a Dell mini 9. It works great and is a joy to use! That is why I want to use the boot 132 method for my eee box. Anyone know how it can be done? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/134976-ideneb-or-boot-132-please-help/#findComment-980891 Share on other sites
