Hi

I have spent many hours looking over this site and have tried many installs.

The one one that works for me staright out of the box is "iATKOS v4i OSx86 10.5.4".

It booted up with no problems and maybe I should have left well enough alone but.... I had to play with the screen resolutions.

After selecting the new screen res. the screen went to a light blue colour.

I touched the power button for a split second and the screen reverted back to the the proper screen and then went blank , black.

Now the question is. How do I get back to the normal screen again????

Any help will be apprciated.

Thanks in Advance

Ok Guys I found out what the problem was.

I had selected the nvidia driver for 512 memory vs the 256 that I should have selected.

So I now have an almost full working system working and quite stable.

I also installed the intel 82566 driver and now have ethernet access.

Now I only need to find a driver for the x-fi sound card.

The system is an Acer E700 Quad Core with 6 megs of memory and SATA HD's

Not with the version I used.

An earlier version of iATKOS did not even boot from the DVD.

The Kalyway 10.5.2 worked well too. The only problems with it were 1.) It wouldn't allow me to install the Intel82566 Lan driver and 2.) If I tried to update to 10.5.3 it would not boot up again. It would give the dreaded "waiting for root device" message.

The leo4all didn't boot up at all.

I have about 6 dvd versions that didn't work.

I was going to give up but I thought I'd give this version a try.

You just have to keep trying different versions untill one works.

It looks like the newer versions seem to work better. ie 10.5.4 and 10.5.5

Now I hope that a X-FI sound card driver comes out someday.

Good luck
