elykl33t
Earlier today i installed osx86 using iATKOS 1.0ir2. Everything has gone alright so far, and ive done everything this guide has done up until the second to last step where it tells you to boot into OSX. OSX shows up when i load everything, but without the DVD in if i select it it boots to vista, and with the DVD in it tries to install it again, though i know for a fact it has already been installed! Does anyone know how to fix this? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/134819-cant-boot-leopard-but-its-installed/ Share on other sites
MacNutty
You need to make Leopard partition active and install a boot loader. Do this: 1. Insert iATKOS and restart. Press F8 when it asks. Type -s and press enter. It will boot in single user mode and you will get a command prompt. Type the following commands: 2. fdisk -e /dev/rdisk0 (0 is the disk number, you can use your corresponding disk number) 3. fdisk>flag 1 (replace 1 with your leopard partition no.) 4. fdisk>update 5. fdisk>write 6. fdisk>quit 7. reboot Now your Leopard partition is active remove the installation disk and check whether you are able to boot into Leopard without installation disk. If problems, then post. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/134819-cant-boot-leopard-but-its-installed/#findComment-955551 Share on other sites
elykl33t
wheneve I do this it still wants to install if I have the dvd in when I boot, if I have the DVD out it still tried to install then freezes, and when I try and boot vista my winload.exe is corrupted and when I put in the vista DVD to repair it it shows no operating systems under "system recovery options" though it showed both before.
