man_on_the_grassey_knowle Posted November 4, 2008 Share Posted November 4, 2008 OK, so what me and my mate are wanting to do is basically set up a parallel MPI computer network to work as a rendering bank for Adobe After effects and other multimedia software's that have high demands in audio multi layer video and FX... we have a bunch of assorted pentium board with good ram and cpu's and we are wanting to set them up with mac os x and use the 5 boards as a super "mac" computer... i know this can be done with linux but i have also seen the virginia tech G5 Super computer on you tube and its insane!!! so can anyone help or point me in the right direction???
