Chrono86
Whenevere I use the command "DISKPART> create partition primary size=6660 id=af" it creats the partition just fine, but when I use the "list partition" command to check it it shows the new partition as 'primary' instead of 'unknown' like the guide says it should. Any idea as to why it's doing that? Thanks Adam Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/1347-creating-paritions-with-diskpart/ Share on other sites

nebo
Does NOBODY know why my partition isn't being created correctly? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well I don't want to insult your intelligence but you didn't really give all that much info.. What process did you use? I have done this about 10 times now and each time it went the same.. I deleted the partition (used partition magic to create the initial empty space) Ran diskpart selected disk 0, then created my partition with the command you used (disk part automatically put the partition in the empty space) and that was it used DD to copy over the image and I was done.. Set the boot.ini and copied chain0 to root0/parition0 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/1347-creating-paritions-with-diskpart/#findComment-8847 Share on other sites
