Hey everyone,

I have installed OSX86 from the universal install DVD and everything works pretty well for the most part. Some drivers I dont have and such things, but nothing crippling...except for the fact that I cannot get it to see my processor (AMD ATHLON 64 3700+ ) as anything but 800Mhz. I have tried setting the boot options platform=ACPI and platform=X86PC but neither work, the options arent there in the Power Savings part of the system preferences and CPU Speed Menu, from the people who make TinkerTool, says that my CPU doesnt support variable speeds. Does anybody know how I can get OSX to accept that it does?

Mo Abrahams.

This is a known problem... It reports my CPU's speed @ 3 Ghz, when it's actually OC'ed to 2.4 Ghz...

Don't worry about it :P Your CPU is running fine...

BUT, for future reference, please don't post questions here. In each sub-forum, there is a sticky that you should read before posting...
