kakikukeko
Hi, I tried to install the 10.4.5 on my vaio S2HP, during the install, the touchpad didn't work, I had to plug a usb mouse (my usb wacom tablet worked too..) I had a look at the system, ethernet was found, bluetooth too, but no audio.. THE main problem is the keyboard was not recognised.. I couldn't type anything during the install.. couldn't rename the partition's name for exemple.. anyway, except that the install went fine until the end. Then I reboot, and finally I can see a screen of Apple OSX .. showing me a nice picture of the apple keyboard, asking me to plug the keyboard ... (unfortunately Have no keyboard to plug..) couldn't go further.. I tried to boot in safe mode: I typed those settings: -v -x -s , it loads but when the prompt appears, I can't type anymore! any ideas? thx Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/13442-1045-on-vaio-laptop-serie-s-keyboard-not-detected/ Share on other sites

typera
I have the same problem with my VGN-T2XP/S (aka in US as VGN-T250P/S) Specs: Chipset: 82855GM Network: 82801DB (ICH4) Pro/100 Modeo: 82801DB AC'97 Modem Video: 82855GM or 82855GME/PM I have seen suggestions to try using the ps2, mouse and keyboard extensions from the open Darwin CD. Now trying to work out how to mount the hard disk using Ubantu so I can overwrite the files on there. It wont mount r/w even if I force it to... If I get anywhere Ill let you know Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/13442-1045-on-vaio-laptop-serie-s-keyboard-not-detected/#findComment-85630 Share on other sites
typera
Quick update: After getting an external USB keyboard I managed to get into it, however the keyboard drivers from darwin cd did not work (didnt load actually). Something to do with outdated library or something along those lines. Going back to searching :-( Also turns out video is using standard vga driver, wireless (2200 intel which I knew would not work) fail to work, looks like theres some work to be done.
