Elfenlyte Posted November 1, 2008 Share Posted November 1, 2008 I insert the Kalyway 10.5.2 DVD into my Dimension 3000. Says press a key to boot from disk. I do. Goes to a bunch of text, MS-DOS-like. Freezes. It freezes on something about BSD root. Now what did I do wrong? WHen I download the Kalyway disk, something came with it about add kext to DVD. Not sure if this is needed. Victor Gil Posted November 1, 2008 Share Posted November 1, 2008 Try booting using -x, if you can't get to the installer that way then please write down the error and post it here to better understand which can be the problem with your installation. I have installed this distro of OS X 4 times without any problems.
