flyingscott Posted March 29, 2006 Share Posted March 29, 2006 I need some suggestions... I have a Dell M50 running 10.4.5 @ 1600x1200. Network, audio, everything seems to be running great. BUT... Even though i'm getting 1600x1200, the graphic performance blowz! the flash anim in the dock runs great, but flash in a webpage is unusable. The screen saver chugs as well... also, the transitions from the desktop to the dashboard are chunky. So... what is the bottle neck? (BTW, same performance issues @ 1024) I don't know a lot about Mac OS, but could it be because there is no support for QE or CI? Any suggestions? miliuco Posted March 29, 2006 Share Posted March 29, 2006 If you look at About (apple menu) and click on More information, in the display entry... how is CoreImage and QuartzExtreme? If not activated, it is the cause of your problems.
