holymoo Posted October 29, 2008 Share Posted October 29, 2008 Currently I am having issues starting up OS X in vmware. After about 20 seconds of trying to boot up, vmware gives me an error that says, "The CPU has been disabled by the guest operating system. You will need to power off or reset the virtual machine at this point." I search this forum as well as google and was not able to find an applicable solution. From what I found, this error normally only presents itself when the processor does not have sse2 or sse3. According to cpu-z my processor has all of these abilities. Here are my system specs: AMD Phenom X4 9850 Black Edition Biostar A770 A2+ 2 Gigabytes DDR2 Geforce 8800gts I would greatly appreciate any help that can get my beyond this point.
