Hey there!

I'm planning to install iDeneb 1.3 (10.5.5) on an ASUS F7Kr series notebook but first wanted to get some info. Does anyone here tried this yet and had success? If yes, what Drivers/Tools/whatever do I have to choose on installation? What will work? What won't? I'm trying to get this done as painless as possible, because the main user of the Laptop is my mum and neither her nor me has tried this so far.

So, thanks for taking your precious time and helping me. Ah and btw. sry for my poor english ;) ^^

I downloaded Sisoft Sandra to profile the notebook and got this info:

CPU: AMD Turion 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-60 (2GHz) (Does support SSE3)

Mainboard: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. F7Kr

Don't know what this means, but I got two Chipsets (?)

1. ASUS RS690 Host Bridge

2. AMD Athlon 64 /Opteron HyperTransport Technology Configuration

Graphics card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2400 (256MB, PCIe 1.00 x16, SM4.0)

Ethernet Adapter: Marvell Yukon 88E8055 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller

W-LAN: Atheros AR5008X Wireless Network Adapter (802.11g (ERP), AES.CCMP, 54Mbps) (This might work, I have an Atheros Airport Chip built-in in my Mac Mini, too)

Webcam: USB 2.0.1.3M UVC WebCam (OEM Device name:Chicoy Electroniccs 1.3 MPixel UVC webcam)

Mouse/Trackpad: Alps Pointing-device

Don't bother is my advice.

Your graphics card is unsupported, so you'll have to live with crappy resolution and no acceleration. I'm pretty sure your wifi is also unsupported at this time. And you'll probably have to struggle just to get any sound.
