Verdant has been extremely helpful getting us this far in his thread here, but unfortunately there doesn't seem to be much info out there on how to get around my current problem.

Basically, the install runs without a hitch and when I try and reboot (I've tried with all different switches too, -x, -F, cpus=1, maxmem=2048, etc.) I get hit with this error:

IOKitWaitQuiet() timed out waiting to write kernel symbols
InterfaceNamer: no network interfaces, could not update platform UUID

Has anyone come across/resolved this before?

Just to recap we're I'm at I'm trying to install iDeneb 1.3 10.5.5 (nForce patched) on an XFX 680i w/ an E8200 @ 3.4 GHz, 2 GB RAM with (currently, I've pulled one out - otherwise they run in SLi) 1x Geforce 9600GT 512MB. I've succesfully installed to a SATA HDD using a PATA DVD (SATA DVD gets stuck waiting for root device).

I've installed using:

- Kernel 9.0.4 Stage XNU

- NVInject 512mb

- smbios fix, Mac Pro

- All applications

- nForce SATA Fix (old) [perhaps I should try without ticking this]

Anyhow, just thought I'd post a new topic to see if anyone else had come across this problem and to make it easier for others to find if there's a solution out there!

Thanks in advance!
