joejohn
I'm trying to install Kalyway Leopard 10.5.2. The installer goes as far as checking the DVD for errors prior to installation, but before it begins the install it posts the error message: The installer could not create the folder "/volumes/untitled/basesystem.pkg.148crnbdw". My hardware: Asus P5e Bios v02.61 Intel Q9550 8 gigs G.Skill DDR2-1000 ATi 1950xtx Seagate SATA II 7,200rpm 250g I'm running the installation through a USB DVD drive. Something to consider is that the hard drive came from a software raid array running windows XP Pro formatted NTSF. I am attempting to format it to Mac OS Extended (Journaled). Bios setting for the drive is AHCI.
joejohn
Tried a low level format on the drive with KILLDISK and it wouldn't even boot Kalyway. Tried another drive and still nothing. Out of frustration I tried to update the bios after reading it on some forum. Should have just gone to sleep instead of messing with the damn thing after a long weekend because I just bricked my board. I'll check back with you guys in a week or so, after I get some new hardware and try this again. Wish me luck.
