Greetings all,

I've been attempting to solve my OSX86 issues for months with no luck, so at last I turn to you to beg for assistance.

My main issue is with my laptop, a HP Pavillion dv5244eu. The system always seems to get the dreaded "Still waiting for root device" error upon attempting to boot from any OSX86 install DVD, with one exception...

Recently I attempted to install OS X with the recent iDeneb disto, for some strange reason it managed to pass this error and loaded Installer, I took the chance and decided to give it a go. I made sure to pick the appropriate patches, and the install went on without issue, until I rebooted.

"Still waiting for root device"

Once again I had been foiled, I was back at Square One. So, I inserted the iDeneb DVD...

"Still waiting for root device"

Again, nothing seemed to work, I was unable to replicate whatever had happened before that had caused Installer to load and I was stuck.

Now, I turn to ask for your help. Could anybody send me in the right direction?

As I've said, I'm running a HP Pavillion dv5244eu Laptop with the following specifications(to the best of my knowledge):

AMD Turion 64 Mobile Technology ML-34 2Ghz

ATI Mobility Radeon Xpress 200

ATI Xpress 200 Chipset

Broadcom 802.11 b/g WLAN

Realtek RTL8139/810x Family Fast Ethernet NIC

The System is SSE2/SSE3 Compliant, and my Disk Drive is ATA.

So, if anybody could atleast point me in the right direction, I'd be grateful..
