open a terminal and type ioreg -l > dump.txt and send me that file (dump.txt). Maybe we can be sure what IDE controller u have and find a suitable kext.

Hi slash.... NO I STILL CANNOT USE IT!!! GRRRR!!!!!

Uhmm i think is an IDE device...

IM really confused....

Here is the dump.txt that u already askd to me one month ago

http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?gjvmkmwmjmi

and in attach...you can see the ids from win xp...

it seems u use AppleIntelPIIXATA.kext

+-o SECD@1  <class IntelPIIXATAChannel, registered, matched, acti$
| |   |	 | {
| |   |	 |   "Channel Mode" = 1
| |   |	 |   "IOInterruptSpecifiers" = (<0f00000000000000>)
| |   |	 |   "acpi-device" = "IOACPIPlatformDevice is not serializable"
| |   |	 |   "IOInterruptControllers" = ("io-apic-0")
| |   |	 |   "acpi-path" = "IOACPIPlane:/_SB/PCI0@0/SATA@1f0002/SECD@1"

| |   |	 |   "Control Block Address" = 884
| |   |	 |   "Interrupt Vector" = 15
| |   |	 | }

| |   |		   "IOProbeScore" = 800
| |   |		   "IOProviderClass" = "IntelPIIXATAChannel"
| |   |		   "Serial ATA" = No
| |   |		   "CFBundleIdentifier" = "com.apple.driver.IntelPIIXATA"
| |   |		   "Physical Interconnect" = "ATA"

| |   |		   "IOPowerManagement" = {"CurrentPowerState"=2}
| |   |		   "IOClass" = "IntelPIIXPATA"
| |   |		 }
| |   |

I think this portion of the dump indicates that the kext is beeing loaded, but your dvd is not detected. I'm guessing that from the fact that in the other channel u have a FUJITSU MHW2160BH which should be your hdd. Sorry, but i cant help u. Try looking different versions of AppleIntelPIIXATA
