gearhead364
I recently put together a dual boot Vista & OS X on my home desktop, I already had my Vista install on two drives in Raid 0. I installed OS X via Kalyway on an extra 160 GB drive, but left an extra 30 GB for a future Ubuntu install. My hardware is the following: ASUS P5K-E Wifi, Q6600, 4GB, Nvidia 8800GT. I noticed during the OS X install process, I had to switch my SATA settings to AHCI, which means I cannot access any of my Raid drives and I need to switch my BIOS settings in between boots. Is there a way that I can work around this or do I have to reinstall my Vista install on a singular drive?
smcpipint
On my Maximus Formula MB, I run XP on a RAID 0 pair, and OS X on a separate 320 MB drive - no problem just leaving the BIOS settings as RAID.....you do have to have kexts that will recognize your chipset's signature when its in RAiD mode.
