davr0s
I've tried JaS and iDeneb, both have the same problem. I can run through the installation fine from DVD, then it asks me to restart. I restart, and it enters a continuous reboot loop, switching off as soon as it displays "Starting Darwin/X86". I've tried -s, -f, -x, -v, cpus=1, changing boot order in the BIOS, everything I could find on the forum. Nothing gets it past this point. I'm using an ASRock-4CoreDual-SATA board with Intel Q6600 CPU (supports SSE3). The computer also has Vista, XP and Ubuntu installed (all working), booting from grub. Modifying grub to include OS X just seems to point it to Darwin and the same problem. Perhaps there is an incompatibility, or an install option or kernel patch I'm missing? Any ideas? davr0s
I wonder if a BIOS flash might help?
davr0s
I still can't boot into OS X for the above reason, does anybody have any advice? At all? Anyone? Is there anybody there?
davr0s
In case anybody comes across this with the same problem - I fixed this by reverting to an older BIOS version (the oldest available from the ASRock site). And if that doesn't work, I hope you have more luck getting a response than I have!
