super_paws
I'm trying to use iDeneb 10.5.5 to install onto my SCSI drives, via LSI21320 controller; however the installer doesn't see the card at all. Does this distribution have AppleLSIFusionMPT or LSIUltra320 kexts included? If not, could someone send these to me? Or is it a vendor ID/product ID issue? vladthebad
SCSI card works just fine.... Im running one right now. Do your drives spin up and are detect during the LSI boot bios? Do your drives show up in disk utility? and it could be that your disk doesn't have the LSI kext cached on the DVD... I know Kalyway boots SCSI fine. super_paws
The LSI bios detects the drives fine. My card is an OEM Dell LSI21320, and it has been reflashed to the IME bios. If you don't mind, could you send me your AppleLSIFusionMPT and/or LSIUltra320 kexts?
vladthebad
my kexts are just stock kexts.... same LSI chip used in the Xserve if you order it with a PCI-X riser and a U320 card... also same chip that was used in the G5 Xserve and on the PCI-X G5's... Jas 10.4.8 XXX 10.4.11 and kalyway 10.5.1 (and upgraded to 10.5.2) as well as I believe normal Kalyway 10.5.2 all run the card just fine... I've used it in a normal 33mhz 32 bit PCI slot, and currently in a PCI-X133 slot... Oh, mine was originally an HP card since it has the HP bios....
